Winner Announcement
November Photo Competition Winner
Instead of driving your car or strolling down to the beach before patrol, members of the Point Lookout Life Saving Club have to travel via water taxi or vehicle ferry. Point Lookout SLSC is on North Stradbroke Island, just off the coast of Brisbane and is only accessible by boat. This means that every Saturday the club needs to organise transport for over 100 nippers and their parents to the club for training.
This unique club features in the winning photo for November in the Dulux Surf Club Photo Competition. Graham Toon, the photographer behind the beautiful photo has pocketed $250 for himself and $1000 for the club. Graham is heavily involved in the running of activities at the surf club, and he knows that the prize money will be gratefully received and put towards maintenance and transport costs.
We love how the rocky headland separates the blue sky and the deep aqua of the water in the photo. Two life guards feature in the foreground, while their club peeks from behind the trees. Congratulations, Graham. What a great photo.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who submitted photos over the past five months. You’ve made it incredibly hard to choose a winner every week as the standard of photos received was so high. We have uploaded all the photos to the Dulux Surf Club Competition Entries album on our Facebook page for you to flick through.
