Sorrento SLSC was proud to be the first club in Western Australia to sign up to the Dulux Surf Club Project. They’re even prouder to be the first in the state to complete their new paint job.

The dedicated life savers at the club have a lot on their hands every day; they patrol a 5km stretch of beach from Pinaroo to Watermans Bay. This is the largest patrol coverage by a surf club in a metropolitan area.

The club building has experienced some harsh weather its fifty-four years. Due to facing west, it bears the brunt of high winds and sand erosion. We supplied Dulux Weathershield paint to give the exterior of the club extra protection against the elements.

The colour scheme was updated to freshen up the look of the club.  The watchtower stands out from the rest of the building after being painted in the strong taupe brown of Dulux Weathershield Heat Reflect Alfresco Haven. The watchtower now acts as a cool retreat even on extremely sunny days. Dulux Raw Encounter and Dulux Island Fantasy were used for the dark blue trim that runs the perimeter of the building. This separates the warm tones of the roof from the lighter walls which were painted in Dulux Natural Embrace.
